At Timbren Industries, we make recommendations that are in your best interests.
In other words, we want to keep your vehicle level – even under a heavy load.
At the same time, we want you to experience great ride quality – loaded or unloaded.
A few suggestions:
While unloaded, the gap between rubber spring and axle should be somewhere between ½” and 1 ½” .
3″ of clearance ensures that the rubber spring won’t interfere with the natural vibration of the suspension.
Unfortunately, the frame will drop 3” before the rubber spring engages with the axle. Not ideal!
Want to know why you have too big a gap?
Consider the following possibilities:
- You have the wrong kit
- You have a non-standard suspension setup
- You have a lifted vehicle
Whatever the case, please contact customer service and let them know about the problem. Extra spacers and fasteners can be sent to you, usually the same day.
