What are stabilizer bars?
The first sway bar patent was awarded to Canadian inventor Stephen Coleman of Fredericton, New Brunswick on April 22, 1919 but didn’t become popular until the 50s.
An anti-roll/anti-sway bar is usually a torsion spring that resists body roll motions, constructed out of tubular steel, and formed into a "U" shape with sway bar linkage that connects to the vehicle’s body at two points - both the left and right side of the suspension.
