As a construction contractor, you know the importance of having reliable, durable, and versatile equipment. Your pickup truck is no exception! With varying loads, rough site conditions, and daily wear and tear, your vehicle's suspension system must be top-notch.
Enter Timbren SES, the ultimate suspension upgrade designed for construction pickup trucks. In this article, we'll explore why Timbren helper springs should be your go-to choice for enhancing your truck's performance and reliability.
What Are Helper Springs? Understanding Timbren SES For Work Trucks
Timbren SES helper springs are essential for work trucks carrying heavy loads, enhancing stability and ride quality. These components offer significant benefits, such as load support and a progressive spring rate that adapts to changing conditions.
Components and Functionality
Helper springs like Timbren SES are constructed with durable natural rubber. These components replace factory bump stops and are mounted above the rear axle's existing leaf springs. The rubber material allows for a progressive spring rate, making it stiffer as the load increases.
This design helps maintain vehicle stability and prevents truck rear-end sagging. This feature is key for carrying heavy loads while maintaining ride comfort in a work truck, particularly those used in construction.
How Do Helper Springs Work?
Timbren SES helper springs engage only when a load is applied, making them ideal for changing road and weight conditions. When a truck is loaded, the SES springs compress to provide additional truck suspension support.
This suspension upgrade improves load support and distributes weight more evenly across the axle. As a result, you experience better ride quality, with reduced sagging or swaying. Even when the vehicle is unloaded, these springs remain disengaged, allowing your work truck to function as a daily driver without a firm ride.
Spectrum of Applications
From daily driving to severe service conditions, Timbren SES offers enhanced performance. They are particularly beneficial in construction work, where trucks frequently change loads. By supporting the rear suspension, they ensure safer handling and longevity of suspension components.
Key Benefits of Timbren SES for Construction Trucks
Your pickup truck is more than just a vehicle. It's a crucial part of your job. When you’re hauling heavy loads, a reliable suspension system is essential. That's where Timbren SES stands out. Timbren SES offers unmatched support for construction trucks, effectively reducing rear sag with their durable natural rubber suspension systems without complicated modifications.
Upgrading your construction truck with Timbren SES provides significant advantages. It enhances stability and safety, improves ride quality, and offers exceptional durability without maintenance.
Progressive Spring Rate with Aeon® Spring Technology
Timbren SES stands out because of its innovative Aeon® spring technology, which offers a progressive spring rate. This means the suspension adapts to your load, providing additional support as more weight is added.
For construction contractors, this is a game-changer. Whether hauling heavy equipment or navigating rough construction sites, Timbren SES ensures your truck operates smoothly and efficiently while extending its lifespan.
Eliminate Suspension Sag and Improve Handling
One of the most common issues construction trucks face is suspension sag and poor handling due to heavy loads. Timbren helper springs are designed to eliminate suspension sag, control side-to-side sway, and provide a smooth and comfortable ride. Timbren SES enhances your truck's stability and handling, even on the most challenging construction sites.
Enhanced stability results in increased safety for you and your cargo, keeping both secure during transit. The safety benefits are especially evident in rough terrains where maintaining control is crucial. With Timbren SES, your vehicle can handle challenging environments with confidence.

Comparing Timbren SES with Other Suspension Systems
Timbren SES offers distinct advantages for work trucks, standing out against traditional airbag systems and other helper springs. It’s known for durability, ease of installation, and low maintenance, making it ideal for construction settings. This section discusses choosing quality springs, comparing Timbren to airbags, and highlighting its benefits over traditional springs.
How To Choose Helper Springs For Work Trucks
Consider the truck's specific needs when selecting a helper springs product. For work trucks in construction, prioritize weight capacity and ease of installation. Timbren SES excels with an impressive 8,600 lbs capacity. You also want reliability and no maintenance.
Timbren's set-it-and-forget-it design stands apart from systems that require frequent adjustments, such as airbags. For those tackling rough terrain, Timbren offers enhanced stability without increasing ride height, eliminating concern for sway or sag. It's a great choice in settings requiring durability and consistency.
Timbren SES vs. Airbag Systems
Airbag systems, while popular, require significant upkeep, needing regular air pressure adjustments, and professional installation. In contrast, Timbren SES is a cost-effective solution that is easy to install on your own in about 30 minutes. This innovative solution supports load stability without continuous maintenance, making it excellent for construction trucks that bear heavy loads daily.
Reliability under heavy demands sets Timbren apart. Its permanent rubber design is a testament to longevity, backed by a lifetime warranty. Unlike airbags, Timbren doesn't rely on air pressure, which can vary and require constant monitoring. This ensures a predictable performance in demanding environments.
Timbren Advantages Over Traditional Helper Springs
Traditional helper springs, such as Hellwig Springs or coil springs, offer some load support, but often at the cost of ride comfort. Thanks to its progressive spring rate, Timbren SES maintains ride quality without sacrificing support. This comprehensive support makes Timbren a practical choice for work trucks, reducing initial costs and long-term expenses.
Why Construction Contractors Need Timbren SES
When considering suspension upgrades for construction pickup trucks, the Timbren SES system offers sturdy performance for different construction uses. Specifically designed to enhance load-bearing capacity and improve handling, Timbren SES provides tailored solutions for specific truck models and unique load requirements.
Signs Of Wear On Work Truck Suspension
Regular checks on your truck suspension are vital. Over time, signs of wear, such as sagging rear ends, bottoming out, or inconsistent ride height, can emerge. These issues indicate that your suspension may be struggling to handle your load.
Worn suspensions affect steering and increase tire wear, impacting safety and durability. Noticing these signs of wear early allows for timely upgrades before more extensive damage.
Tailored to Pickup Truck Models
Timbren SES kits are tailored to specific truck models, ensuring a precise fit and optimal performance. You can choose a kit designed for your specific truck model.
A customized suspension system enhances load distribution and stability. This customization ensures maximum efficiency for those using pickups for construction work. Timbren kits are straightforward to install, offering a practical solution to enhance your truck's capabilities.

The 100-day money-back guarantee and lifetime warranty offer peace of mind. If, for any reason, the suspension doesn't meet your expectations, Timbren has you covered. This guarantee reflects Timbren's confidence in its product's performance and durability.
Work Truck Customer Review
Review By: Westvirginiazr2 - Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra Forum
"So I use my 09 NNBS rcsb as strictly a work truck. I own Valley Lawn Care, so there is always either a trailer, snowplow, or construction materials hanging off this truck. I started by purchasing the "Zone Offroad" brand add-a-leaf kit and the "Fat Bob's Garage" brand strut spacer for the front, basically giving me 2in of lift all around. This still wasn't enough for what I put the poor thing through, so next step was ordering the "Timbren Suspension Kit"
The kit cost me under $400 for front and back, which I thought was reasonably fair considering the high build quality. The install was straight forward, and could be done by any monkey with a toolbox.
The rear system is nothing more than super big, strong, heavy-duty bump stops that allow about 3 inches of travel before they assume all the weight of the bed / trailer and relieve your leaf springs. When not loaded, you get factory ride.
The front system has a bracket that bolts to the frame, and another big, strong, heavy-duty bump stop sits on that bracket and will hit the lower control arm when loaded ( as in raising a plow ). Again, When not loaded, you get factory ride.
Overall it was one of the better things I have done for my truck, and it seems that I could transfer the rubber bump stops to a different vehicle if I had new brackets, which is a plus. I give it a 10/10."
