Does Timbren Industries lead the field in rubber spring technology?
We think so. Fifty years’ experience in rubber moulding has earned them admiration and respect in the industry.
However, you probably didn’t know this:
About ten years ago, Timbren bought McWade Rubber in Oshawa. Soon after, they began manufacturing rubber-lined products.

Want to know why it’s so important?
Rubber lining involves a careful process:
- The metal piece must be abrasive blasted
- Next, the metal piece receives 3 layers of adhesive
- Rubber strips must be “stitched” into place
- Finally, the rubber is vulcanized in an autoclave
Rubber lining protects metal components from abrasion and corrosion. In other words, it slows down wear-and-tear.
Each project comes with a specific set of parameters.
One type of rubber protects well against corrosion. Another type effectively protects against abrasion.
Timbren provides this service to the following industries:
- Mining
- Chemical
- Power generation
- Water treatment
- Oil and gas
