Snowplow FAQ: Let’s fix your front end

GMC 1500 truck equipped with Timbren SES Suspension Enhancement System and a snowplow
Q.  EVER SINCE I REMOVED MY SNOWPLOW AT THE END OF THE SEASON, MY TRUCK NOW RIDES ROUGH. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MY RIDE BACK?

A.  If you have a ride quality issue after you’ve removed the snowplow, there is only one way to fix the problem: Remove the SES kit. Also: Cranking up the torsion bars on the front end of an A-frame suspension will compromise the ride quality. If you have done so, you should relax the torsion bars lowering the suspension to its original position.

Q.  I INSTALLED AN SES KIT ON THE FRONT OF MY P/U TRUCK, BUT THE FRONT END STILL DROPS WHEN I PICK UP THE PLOW. DO YOU HAVE A SOLUTION?

A.  The rubber spring should be in full contact with the axle or control arm on the front end. If the vehicle has a straight axle, a spacer could be added to the assembly. When you’re dealing with an independent suspension (with control arm), check to make sure you have the correct kit.  if the front end has been raised, lower it back to its original position.
